Sara Phenix, Associate Professor of French at Brigham Young University, will be discussing a chapter from her current book project, Bodice Politic: Corsets & the Future of France, which examines the political, medical, technological, and aesthetic importance of the corset in the popular imaginary of nineteenth- and early twentieth-century France.
